Megan Ryland Tanner is a dedicated and passionate candidate running for Judge in Lebanon County, committed to upholding justice and the rule of law. With an extensive legal career spanning over two decades, Megan's deep roots in the community, combined with her legal expertise, make her the ideal candidate to serve as Judge on the Lebanon County Court of Common Pleas.

Rich Legal Experience

Megan's legal career is marked by her outstanding contributions to various law firms and legal roles. Notably, she has excelled at Barley Snyder, LP, providing expert legal counsel in Commercial and Residential Real Estate, General Business, Guardianship, and Civil Litigation.

Megan's dedication to the pursuit of justice is shown through her past work as a Court Appointed Custody Conciliator and Mediator for almost two decades. In this role, she skillfully navigated delicate family matters, offering informed recommendations and opinions that helped families find resolution during challenging times. She currently serves as a Court Appointed Guardian Ad Litem in Juvenile Dependency Cases.

Her extensive tenure as a Senior Deputy District Attorney at the Lebanon County District Attorney's Office further attests to her legal prowess. Megan's relentless pursuit of justice saw her prosecute a range of cases, from felonies to misdemeanors. Her exceptional leadership led to the establishment of key community initiatives, such as the Multidisciplinary Investigative Team (MDIT) and the Children's Advocacy Center.

Megan's dedication extends beyond her legal practice. She has been recognized for her involvement through awards like the Women Working Justice Award from the Lebanon County Women’s Commission, the Children's Hero Award and the Hero Award which showcase her commitment to advocating for the vulnerable and marginalized in her community.

With specialized training in Transformative and Facilitative Mediation and a Pennsylvania Title Insurance License, Megan Tanner possesses the versatility and depth of experience needed to approach complex legal situations with empathy, fairness, and integrity.

Distinguished Education and Legal Qualifications

Megan's educational journey has equipped her with the knowledge and skills necessary for her role as Judge. She earned her Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Widener University School of Law in 2001, followed by admissions to the Pennsylvania Bar and various federal courts. Prior to law school, Megan earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy from Penn State University in 1997, setting the foundation for her dedication to public service.

A Life Anchored in Lebanon County

Megan's life is interwoven with the fabric of Lebanon County. As a life-long resident, she and her husband Michael have strong ties to the community and raised their three children, Grace, Sophia, and William, in North Cornwall Township.
